Naomi Carmack has been a vocalist and songwriter since at the age of 12, when she penned her first single, "Be My Baby".
The song caught the attention of Edmonton radio station Power 92 when she entered it in their "Powermix" competition, produced by Canadian dance music authority, Chris Sheppard (BKS, Love Inc.).
"Be My Baby" brought a nomination for "Best Dance/Rap/Rhythm Artist" at the 1994 Alberta Recording Industry Awards. The song is also the theme song for the podcast, too!
Naomi spent the last years attending music and recording school, and fronting Edmonton hard rock band "Six String Loaded".
Her passion for podcasting started in 2018, while co-hosting a podcast with musician friends called "Learning To Listen". That experience laid the ground work for what would become "Dope Nostalgia Podcast".
Now, 6+ years, 275 episodes, thousands of subscribers, and millions of YouTube plays, Dope Nostalgia is steadily growing with fans and fun 90's related content.
